For further details of standard DIN EN 14404, please see the Information page!
Knee-protectors which do not pass the prototype test can no longer be distributed in the EU. Accordingly, some of our products, which have sold successfully for decades, must be altered or removed from our range.
We have therefore decided to remove Cat. nos. 63, 64 and 65 from the range, as they are unlikely to pass the prototype test.
Cat. no. 30 has also been removed from the range as it is too small and, with only one strap, is not eligible for certification. It is replaced by Cat. no. 31!
Cat. no. 7 is not eligible for certification due to its inelastic straps. Cat. no. 5 is of identical construction but with elastic straps and is its replacement.
Similarly, Cat. no. 13e ergo has been replaced by Cat. no. 13v ergo or 13vg ergo.
Our polyurethane knee-protectors are not currently puncture resistant (according to the standard).
They will be sold under a special dispensation until the end of this year. During this time, the appropriate products will be modified to meet the requirements of the standard, which is likely to result in a price increase.
Further information will be available towards the end of the year!
